Pokémon Guessing Game
Pokémon Guessing Game (fan-made)
I rebuilt my very first game (“Pokémon Hangman”) from the ground up after learning a ton—and fixing all the old gremlins. This new version has a clean, fully working loop, a catch mechanic, a proper Pokédex that tracks normal vs. shiny, and an online leaderboard so you can see how you stack up.
What’s inside
-
Play by typing: guess letters to reveal the Pokémon’s name. Streaks bump up your max guesses.
-
Catch ‘em: solve it and you “catch” that Pokémon. The Pokédex shows what you’ve caught—normal and shiny variants.
-
Shinies sparkle: rare shiny encounters come with a little flair.
-
Sounds & settings: UI clicks, music, and cries with adjustable volume (and a toggle if you like it quiet).
-
Online leaderboard: pick a username and compete—no hassle.
How to play
Choose a generation (or All), start typing, and fill in the name before your guesses run out. Solve it, add it to your Pokédex, and keep the streak alive!
Status
The game is mostly feature complete. I’ll push small updates and bug fixes based on feedback. If you spot anything weird or have ideas, I’m all ears.
Thanks
I genuinely hope you enjoy playing this as much as I enjoyed making it. Have fun, and good luck hunting shinies!
